ROUTE IN RED · POINT OF ORIGIN
Proudly, permanently Derry. His line leaves the top of the sheet and wanders the whole length of the island: basketball halls, motorway services, the odd detour. He works for Basketball Ireland, so the sport had him on the road anyway; the survey simply records that the road kept ending in Limerick. No shortcuts taken.

Proudly, permanently Limerick. Her line is shorter, because she was already home: teaching by day, Huskies basketball the rest of the time. Total distance surveyed: hardly any. The cartographers wish to note that this is not laziness. It is being the destination.

Earlier that day, at a basketball game, Niall issued one thumbs-up. That evening, in a late night takeaway on a Limerick street, the first real conversation happened over chips. Both routes have run together since. The survey records the thumbs-up as the decisive instrument.

Orlaith lived in Dubai for two years, loves it still, and has family there to this day. Niall, meanwhile, became a frequent and increasingly confident visitor: five flights, each one drawn here in red tally. Long distance is just a route with better weather at one end.
Childhood summers put Kilkee on her map long before he did. One question on the cliff top joined the two routes for good, and the combined line now runs straight to a church in Monaleen.
Her favourite place in the world, on the map since childhood summers. On these cliffs, with the Atlantic providing the weather, the question was asked. She said yes, and every route in this survey has run in one direction since.

About 25 minutes on from the church. Drinks on arrival, dinner, speeches, then The Bentley Boys and the DJ until the legs give out. The bride covers this leg by 1960 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud; the rest of the survey party can car pool.

Saturday 24 April, from 4:00 PM, and shown on this survey openly because everyone is welcome: no fine print, no second guest list. Food, music, and a full review of Friday's route. Casual kit. Sore heads carried at no extra charge.

Every good summit keeps a logbook. Around 298 walkers are expected on the sheet; sign below and you're one of them.
Pencilled into the field copy: route confirmed, rations noted, record request passed to the band. When the logbook binds for real in January, this is exactly where your name goes.
The sheet keeps a space where you would have stood. You'll be toasted from the summit, and sent the view by postcard.

Doors from 12:30, ceremony at 1:00 PM. Arrive with time to spare; the Rolls Royce runs to schedule even when its passengers don't.

Open mapBelfast: M1 then M7, about four hours. Derry: nearer five, and the Thursday night convoy is a tradition at this stage. Dublin: M7, roughly two and a half.
Shannon lands you 30 minutes out, the local favourite. Cork is about 1¾ hours by road; Dublin around 2½ after landing.
Plenty at the Woodlands. Church parking notes travel with the invites; car pooling is warmly encouraged, especially for the convoy.
Local numbers arrive with the invites. Whatever the hour, the hotel desk will flag one down for you.
The Woodlands first: ring the hotel and say you're with the wedding, those rooms go early. Then the Dunraven Arms in Adare village, five minutes off. Limerick city is 25 minutes with plenty of rooms: the Strand, the Clayton, the George. And if the numbers come up before April, Adare Manor is up the road; send champagne to the Treehouse.
Expect all four seasons before the soup. Every scheduled event is indoors; carry a coat for the photographs and you'll want for nothing.
Your good clothes: suits, dresses, colour, personality. Two restrictions only, both firm: nothing white unless you are the bride, and no club jerseys. Either club. Yes, we know it's a Huskies and Eagles household; that is precisely why.
Genuinely. The Treehouse at the Woodlands from 4:00 PM, marked on its own sheet above. No invitation subclause, no fine print. If you're within range on the Saturday, walk in.
Your invite names everyone included. Check it when it lands in the new year, and just ask if anything is unclear.
The ruling publishes with the invites. Either way, Black Diamond and MDA are the appointed survey photographers, so you are free to simply be there.
Your presence is the present: most of ye are making a genuine expedition to be there. A card box will exist quietly on the day. End of note.
The logbook closes 1 March 2027, to be confirmed on the invites. Log early; standby is a stressful way to attend a wedding.
